Toshifumi Minamoto

Dr. Toshifumi Minamoto is a professor at the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment, Kobe University, Japan. He got his Ph.D in science in 2003 from Kyoto University, Japan, for the research on visual physiological ecology of fish. During his postdoc periods, he has worked on the biological clocks of invertebrates and on the ecology of infectious diseases. He has been working at Kobe University since 2012 and currently focuses on biodiversity science and infectious disease ecology using environmental DNA analysis methods. He has published a number of milestone papers in the field of environmental DNA analysis for fish and other macroorganisms.
