Titiek Setyawati holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a Master’s from Mississippi State University, and a bachelor’s from IPB University. She has over 25 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest management, ESIA, invasive alien species management, wildlife management, and protected area management. She served as a senior forest ecology researcher at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry until 2022 and now leads invasive species research at BRIN. She has worked with CIFOR, UNDP, GIZ, TNC, FAO, UNEP-CABI, and WCS, contributed to national and international forest certification standards, and has been an FSC auditor for over 20 years. She has extensive HCV assessment experience, serves on the HCVRN Quality Panel, and is part of the FSC Standard Development Group. She currently advises IAS management in Borneo, leads biodiversity strategy development for social forestry, and consults on landscape-level biodiversity monitoring. Since 2018, she has lectured at IPB University and, since 2022, serves as a Technical Expert for AMDAL evaluations.
