Thuy Thi Thanh Pham

Dr Thuy Thi Thanh Pham is a teacher and researcher in the Department of Fisheries Economics and Management at the University of Nha Trang, Viet Nam. She graduated with her PhD in environmental and resource economics at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway in 2013. After finishing her PhD, she served as the program coordinator of the NORHED International Master Program, ‘Marine ecosystem based management and climate change’ funded by the Norwegian government for three years (2014 – 2016). During the period 2017-2020, she was working as a postdoc fellow at UiT, the same university where she did her PhD, focusing on socio-economic impacts of climate change on seafood production. Her academic interests include fisheries and aquaculture economics and management with a concentration on bioeconomic modelling, rent creation and distribution, user conflicts, climate change, subsidies, ecosystem service and its valuation. For more than 10 years she has been involved in teaching, participating and leading several international and national research. Thuy has authored and co-authored of more than 10 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, e.g., Marine Resource Economics, Development and Environmental Economics, Climatic Change, Marine Policy, etc.
