Tran Thi Hoa

Center for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub)

Ms Tran Thi Hoa is chair of Founding council and Director of Centre for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub), co-founder of Viet Nam Zero Waste Alliance (VZWA) and chair of Founding council, Zero waste schools and more (ZHub). She has a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the Natural Sciences University (Vietnam), and Master of Water Resources and Coastal Management from Bergen University (Norway). She is a recognized sustainability and environmental leader in Vietnam, with specific expertise in the waste management sector. Hoa brings with her almost two decades of experience working with international organizations and managing development projects addressing issues such as natural resources co-management, waste management, zero-waste environmental protection, plastic pollution and climate change adaptation.

Ms Hoa is currently the Director of GreenHub, one of leading environmental NGOs. In six years, the organisation has had a tremendous impact, working on a range of projects in coastal regions with the goal of zero waste, collaborating with international research organizations to create a national marine debris database and providing expert knowledge to strengthen the National Action Plan on marine plastic waste management and plastic waste management in fisheries sector.
