Surabhi Mehrotra

Dr Surabhi Mehrotra is Assistant Professor at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal, India. She has over 20 years of interdisciplinary research experience in domain of climate-responsive development, natural resource management and resilient infrastructure planning. Surabhi had worked extensively across range of geographies in India and abroad with local communities, stakeholders and decision makers. She holds expertise in application of spatial analytical techniques for urban planning and founder in-charge of ‘Urban Informatics Lab’ of MANIT Bhopal. She is recipient of research fellowship from Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and heading research projects funded by Urban Studies foundation, UK and Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India. Beyond academia, is actively engaged as member of National Wetland Committee (NWC), Govt of India and other state level committees.
