Siow Yuet Mei is a Senior Research Officer at the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Center (DPPC), where she plays a key role as the main coordinator for several high-impact initiatives, including the Women and Child Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (WCDR3) project and the TRANSCEND project. With extensive experience in fostering stakeholder collaboration, leveraging technology for data-driven decision-making, and advancing Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM), she brings a holistic approach to disaster resilience. Currently pursuing PhD at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, her research focuses on empowering communities and policymakers with risk-informed decision-making tools, further strengthening her contribution to disaster risk reduction and resilience-building efforts.
