Dr Liang got his doctoral degree from the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, China. He is now a lecturer at Fisheries Science Department at Tianjin Agricultural University. His research field is shellfish farming and ecology. He is a member of the Tianjin Comprehensive Experimental Station of the National Shellfish Industry Technology System, a member of the Tianjin Shellfish Industry System, a third-level candidate for the Tianjin “131” Project, and a candidate for the Tianjin University “Young Talent Support Program”. His recent focus is on genetic breeding, marine shellfish physiology and molecular biology research.
