Dr Shobha Poudel completed her PhD in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University, Japan. She has several years of interdisciplinary research experience in Climate change adaptation, Vulnerability and risk assessment, Agriculture and Food Security, Disaster risk management and Environmental Economics. She is also a recipient of the Early Career Women Scientists Fellowship 2018 from the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), UNESCO. She is also a Contributing Author, Chapter 10 (Working Group II) of IPCC AR6. She has published several research papers including policy briefs and book chapters as well as she voluntarily reviews scientific articles in a number of reputed journals.
