Dr Samia Tariq is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Civil Engineering at Ziauddin University, Pakistan. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Her expertise encompasses sustainable construction materials, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction and engineering technologies. She has led nationally and internationally funded research projects and contributed to industry-sponsored research initiatives in New Zealand. Her academic leadership spans strategic planning, institutional development, research innovation, and quality assurance. As a Master Faculty Trainer for Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission, she contributes to capacity-building initiatives, faculty development and excellence in higher education.
