Rajeev Kumar Singh

Dr Rajeev Kumar Singh is a PhD holder in Environmental Studies with a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies (KCUFS) and holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Tsukuba. His teaching portfolio covers various subjects in Environmental Studies/Science. With prior roles at the Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences, NARO (NIAES), Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and the National Institute of Environmental Studies (NIES), Dr Singh has conducted extensive research on the waste and climate nexus in several Asian countries, including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Indonesia. His contributions extend to supporting national and local governments in the development of waste and plastic management strategies. Dr Singh has played a vital role in assisting countries and cities by providing expertise in networking and capacity building, fostering the adoption of proper waste management practices in the Asian regions.
