Dr Praseed Thapa is a full-time Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management, Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Nepal. He holds a master degree in agricultural economics from the University of Hohenheim, Germany and has extensive experience working with the research organization in Germany (Eurofins GmBH), national and international organizations in Nepal that worked towards the overall agricultural development. Praseed is also one of the founding members of Global Agri-Tech Nepal (GATE-Nepal), a seed company engaged in producing quality seeds for Nepalese farmers and currently, he is a board member of the company. Praseed has a very strong interest in climate change in agriculture, biodiversity conservation, risk management and value chain in agriculture.
