Pham Quy Giang

Ha Long University

Dr Pham Quy Giang is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Environment, Ha Long University, Quang Ninh, Vietnam. He obtained his PhD on the impact of climate change on soil and water resources in international watersheds from the University of Shizuoka, Japan in 2014. From 2014 to 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) at the Department of Urban Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan. He was affiliated with the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam National University of Agriculture from 2006 to 2020. Since June 2020 he joined Ha Long University as a senior lecturer and a member of the Council of Science and Education of the university. His research interests include application of GIS, Remote Sensing and Modelling in natural resources and environmental management; Climate change and its impacts on environment and society, climate-related disasters and damage to agriculture; land use management and land use planning; soil erosion and soil pollution; surface and groundwater contamination.
