Mr Niranjan Bastakoti is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kathmandu University, Nepal. He obtained his Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus and his Master degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has around seven years of teaching and research experience. His research area includes thermal-fluid sciences, especially heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, HVAC, energy efficiency in HVAC systems and renewable energy systems. Besides academics, Mr Bastakoti works as an HVAC consultant based in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he is involved in the design of HVAC systems for comfort and other climate control applications.
