Morgan Wairiu

Pro Chancellor and Chairman of SINU council, Solomon Islands National University

Dr Morgan Wairiu is a Natural Resource and Climate Adaptation Specialist. He is the Pro-Chancellor of the Solomon Islands National University and Capacity Building Adviser to the Micronesian Centre for Sustainable Transport. He was a lead author of the IPCC 1.5 Special Report and Coordinating Lead Author of the Small Islands Chapter of the IPCC Working Group II Sixth Assessment Report. He has over 30 years of work experience in agriculture, forestry, land use and the environment, including climate change adaptation and risk resilience in the Pacific regions. His research interest is in climate change adaptation and risk resilience.
