Dr Mohammad Saiful Alam is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Soil Science under the Faculty of Agriculture, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree and MS in Soil Science degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). He did his PhD in Environmental Sciences (Environmental Microbiology) from the Institute of Soil Science under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr Alam did his post-doctoral research at Nagoya University, Japan. His research interests are Environmental Soil Science, Soil Microbiology and Soil Fertility. He has been involved in many national and international projects. Dr Alam is a life member of the Soil Science Society of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Association for Advancement of Science (BAAS).
