Dr Kibria holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Soil Science at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He earned his MS in Soil Science from the same university in 2015 and subsequently completed his PhD at the University of Western Australia, Australia, in 2021.
With eight years of extensive teaching and research experience, Dr Kibria specializes in various domains, including soil science, plant nutrition, climate-smart agriculture, waste management, community-based disaster risk reduction, soil abiotic stress resistance in plants, and nutrient mapping in diversified ecosystems.
Dr Kibria has actively collaborated with national and international funding organizations such as FAO-BD, USAID, IUCN, CDRI, MoST, and BAU throughout his career. His commitment to research is reflected in his current involvement in a co-producing research project, where he collaborates with various skilled and non-skilled stakeholders, focusing on climate-smart agriculture and community participation.
Dr Kibria’s extensive network includes collaborations with renowned institutions globally. Presently, he is engaged in research partnerships with UC Davis, USA; Salford University, UK; Ritsumeikan University, Japan; AFU, Nepal, and numerous others. His collaborative efforts aim to advance knowledge and contribute to the fields of soil science and sustainable agriculture.
