Dr Saito has over 10 years of research experience in water resources and environments in Japan and other Asian countries and Brazil. In recent years, she has been working on the research topics for “effect of submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) on coastal ecosystems”, “quantitative evaluation of nutrient transport from land to sea”, “human impacts on water environment and water resources”, and “nutrient cycle and accumulation process in lakes and reservoirs”.
