Md. Abiar Rahman

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University

Md. Abiar Rahman is a Professor of Agroforestry and Environment, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He has supervised 22 postgraduate students and published 54 articles in different journals. He implemented several projects on agroforestry and climate change funded by different organizations. He is interested in the function and service of agroecosystems under changing climate. He has experience in crop productivity in drought and saline prone areas. He also emphasized the land-use and climate change impacts on ecosystem services and functions. Recently he has published a book entitled “Deforestation in the Teknaf Peninsula of Bangladesh – A Study of Political Ecology”.
