Dr Loh Pei Sun is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Marine Geology and Resources, Ocean College, Zhejiang University, China. She obtained her PhD from the Scottish Association for Marine Science. She was a lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, a postdoctoral fellow at the National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, and a postdoctoral fellow at York University, Canada. She has experience in studying the biogeochemistry of sedimentary organic matter and phosphorus in various coastal zones such as sea lochs, estuaries and salt marshes, as well as lakes and rivers
