Le Ngoc Tuan

Director General, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Viet Nam

Mr Le Ngoc Tuan completed his master’s degree in development economics at the National Economics University and Dutch Institute of Social Studies. He started his career at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2008. He then worked at the Viet Nam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment (now the Viet Nam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change) from 2009 to 2010. He then moved to the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change as Deputy Director then Director of the Science, Technology and International Cooperation Division. He was also a member of the Viet Nam climate change negotiation team; member of the Viet Nam JCM Joint Committee and chief of the Viet Nam JCM Secretariat. From 2016 to 2021, he worked at the International Cooperation Department as Deputy Director General and from December 2021 to the present, he is the Director General of the Department.
