Lap Dinh

International Collaborating Centre for Aquaculture and Fisheries Sustainability

Mr. Dinh Xuan Lap has been working in the fisheries sector in Vietnam for 15 years. He has rich experience in coastal resource management, capture fisheries, communities-based fisheries co-management, climate change adaptation, value chains and market analysis and project baseline surveys.

Mr. Dinh has involved in different positions in project development and implementation on promoting sustainable aquaculture, including shrimp, clam, oyster, tuna, and marine fish, among other. He is experienced in partnerships with local small-farmers, NGO networks, fisheries management systems and buyers. Dinh is very familiar with the Mekong River Delta and local farmer coalitions, and associations/cooperatives. He has also done plenty of works associated with seafood processing industry and trading actors. He is presently the manager and thecoordinator of the Vietnam Shrimp Forum, an internationl auditor of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification and a consultant on seafood certifications.
