Ms Kathryn Yang is the assistant for the APN Secretariat’s Knowledge Management and Scientific Affairs team. Originally from Washington D.C., USA, she came to Japan in 2023 on the MEXT Scholarship to pursue her master’s at Kobe University’s Graduate School of Economics.

After graduating from Georgetown University, Kathryn was a news assistant for National Public Radio, and interned at the Department of State and the Chamber of Commerce. On the side, she also works as a freelancer and journalist assistant covering stories about energy and the environment.
