Kanchan Mishra

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

Kanchan Mishra is a fluvial geomorphologist and is passionate about employing remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) to research Earth surface dynamics. She received her PhD in Earth Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and MTech in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO). Her academic research focuses on integrating remote sensing and hydrological data to understand sediment dynamics and their implications for river hazards in the transboundary Kosi river. She is currently working as Project Scientist with Prof. Rajiv Sinha at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
