Jian Pu is a Research Fellow and Academic Associate at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS). Prior to joining UNU-IAS, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Yamagata University, Toyo University, and The University of Tokyo. Her research interests focus on water environment, pollution remediation, environmental resources, and sustainability science. Her recent research activities are related to the “Potential impact of climate variability on norovirus incidence and seasonality: water ecology and human health” project (funded by Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research; APN), which aims to better characterize the possible influence of climate variables on the occurrence and spread of norovirus-associated gastroenteritis infections in both temperate and tropical countries.
