Dr. Hue Le is the Deputy Director of the Center for Environment and Community Assets Development (CECAD). Dr. Le received her MA in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University and her PhD in Agriculture and Rural Development at the Institute of Social Studies, the Netherlands. From February to August 2012, she was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Earth Institute at Columbia University. From October to November 2016, she was a visiting scholar at York Centre for Asian Research, York University.
Dr. Le has been the PI or co-PI on numerous research and development projects funded by a range of different donors, including the ICCO, USAID, Ford Foundation, FAO, IDRC, and SIDA. She is presently leading a project, Towards Sustainable Mangrove-Shrimp Aquaculture Through Capacity Building and Partnership in the Mekong River Delta funded by APN. She has published numerous articles and books in international journals. She also has a book forthcoming from Springer Press: Competing for Land, Mangroves and Ponds in Vietnam.
