Dr Peany Houng got her doctoral degree in Chemical Science and Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in September 2020. Currently, she is a researcher/lecturer at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Faculty of Food and Chemical Engineering. She is also a Journal Editor in Chief for Techno-Science Research Journal (Cambodia). She is leading various projects related to the extraction of bioactive compounds and essential oils from plants, assessment of heavy metal and nutritional values of agricultural products, and training needs assessment for agroecology and safe food system in Cambodia and Southeast Asia region.
