Dr Henry P. Huntington is an independent researcher in Eagle River, Alaska, USA. Much of his work concerns human-environment interactions in the Arctic, especially with Indigenous peoples. He has served on committees of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the Council of Canadian Academies, and is a member of the Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research. He has published over 100 scientific papers plus several books, and is chief editor of the journal Weather, Climate, and Society.
