Dr Emenda  Sembiring is an Associate Professor in the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia. Currently, she is the head of Environmental Engineering Postgraduate Study Progam. He was the head of solid and hazardous waste laboratory, ITB from 2017-2021. Her main research is solid waste management and technology. She has been involved in several national and international collaborations.
