Dr Duc works at Marlborough District Council as a Rivers Investigation Engineer. He is a former Assistant Professor of Water Engineering and Management at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). His research and professional interests and expertise lie in the areas of the river and estuarine hydrodynamics and engineering, wetland and coastal zone management, mathematical modelling, flood and drought risk management, and climate change impact studies. He was a Lecturer in River and Coastal Engineering and Modeling at Water Resources University in Vietnam. He has over 13 years of academic and professional experience in the areas of hydraulics and river engineering. Dr Duc received PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan), M. Sc. In Coastal Engineering and Port Development from UNESCO-IHE (the Netherlands) and B. Eng. In Hydrology and Environment from Water Resources University (Vietnam).
