Dr Dolgormaa Munkhbat is currently a researcher at the National University of Mongolia. She earned her PhD from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, in 2025. Her research interests focus on material cycling in the environment, solid waste pollution and management, and particularly the dynamics of macro- and microplastics in aquatic environments. She has co-led and collaborated on several research projects addressing various environmental pollution issues, including heavy metal contamination in wastewater, the development of adsorbent materials for pollutant removal, and the transport and dynamics of microplastics in riverine and coastal environments.
