Dr Doan Van Binh is a lecturer at Vietnamese-German University, Vietnam. He graduated with a PhD in Civil Engineering in Urban Management from Kyoto University, Japan and got his master’s degree in Environmental and Hydraulic Engineering from Saitama University, Japan. Dr Binh is greatly interested in quantifying dams’ effects on the flow regime, sediment, morphology, and salinity intrusion, especially in the Mekong River basin. He is specialized in hydro-sediment-morpho dynamic numerical modelling in the tidal river system. He is also experienced in using various apparatus in physical modelling and field surveys.
