Dharmendra Singh

Dr. Dharmendra Singh is Senior Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India and Joint Faculty and Former Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He is also the Coordinator of DRONE RESEARCH CENTER, IIT Roorkee. He received various fellowships and awards by the national and international bodies mainly Monbusho Fellowship, Japan, MERIT Fellowship, European Union, DAAD Fellowship, Germany, TWAS Fellowship, China, IFCAM Fellowship, France, TWAS Fellowship and many others. He has received Dr. Ajit Singhvi Institute Chair Professors in June 2018 and June 2021. He received National GOLD Award for e-governance 2019-2020 for Outstanding research on Citizen Centric Services for the project “Satellite Based Agriculture Information System: An efficient application of ICT” by Govt. of India, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. He received his Ph. D degree in Electronics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi, Varanasi, U.P., India.
