Dewayany Sutrisno is a research professor in the spatial information system. She was employed at the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) and later at The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). She is also an adjunct lecturer in Post Graduate School of IPB university, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and a lecturer in the National Training Center for International Geography Olympiad.  She serves as an assessor for national researchers’ careers and an assessor for personal professional competencies in the field of geospatial information. She is an active member of the Asian Association for Remote Sensing as the Indonesian representative (AARS), former president of Indonesian Society for Remote sensing (ISRS/ Mapin) and now as a member of ISRS steering board. She is also a member in DBAR WG coast and Population and environmental research Network (PERN).
