Dr Chamindu Deepagoda is a Senior Lecturer at Lincoln University, New Zealand. He previously worked at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. His research interests encompass gas, water, solute, and colloid transport in soils, soil-gas transport modelling, characterization of plant growth media for Earth and Space-based applications, and multiphase transport of multicomponent gases in heterogeneous porous media.
Dr Deepagoda obtained his BSc (Eng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka) and an MSc degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Saitama University (Japan). He earned his PhD, specializing in Geo-environmental Engineering, from Aalborg University (Denmark). Following his doctoral studies, he held four postdoctoral positions at Aarhus University (Denmark), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Colorado School of Mines (USA), and Lincoln University (New Zealand).
