Mr. Balla is a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Humanitarian Response professional with over 9 years of experience working on DRR and humanitarian projects with various international and non-governmental organizations, including OXFAM, DanChurchAid (DCA), CORDAID, and Noble Compassionate Volunteers (NCV). He specializes in leading DRR and emergency response initiatives, particularly in Humanitarian WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Anticipatory Action. Mr. Balla holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from CIST College, Nepal, and a Graduate Professional Diploma Program (GPDP) in Humanitarian WASH from the IHE DELFT Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands, which he completed with a UNICEF scholarship. Currently, he is managing the Anticipatory Action portfolio at HDCS, focusing on the regions of Manang, Lamjung, Rukum, and Dhanusa.
