Bethanna Jackson

Dr Bethana is an experienced researcher and teacher with 14 years+ of working in the tertiary university sector. She is an Associate Professor of Physical Geography at the Victoria University of Wellington and an International Consultant for the United Nations Statistics Division. She is skilled in sustainable development, environmental awareness, water resource management, environmental modelling, and hydrology. She is a strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on Hydrogeochemical Modelling from Imperial College London. She is the lead scientist and developer of the land management decision support framework and software package Land Utilization Capacity Indicator (LUCI). Her commitment to advancing prediction and communication of the impacts of land management on natural capital provision has influenced policy and the international research community.
