Dr Bayartungalag Batsaikhan is a Research Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Korea University, Republic of Korea, where she earned her PhD. Her research focuses on environmental geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry and water isotope geochemistry. She investigates the geochemical and isotopic characteristics of surface water and groundwater to elucidate hydrogeochemical processes, water–rock interactions, and the natural and anthropogenic factors controlling water chemistry. Her research integrates geochemical, isotopic and geospatial approaches to investigate hydrological systems, assess water quality and understand environmental changes. Her work contributes to advancing scientific knowledge of watershed processes and supporting sustainable water resource management.
