Batkhishig Baivali

Sustainable Fibre Alliance

Dr. Batkhishig Baival graduated National University of Mongolia in 1996 with a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry. She receiveid a Master degree in Biotechnology in 1998 from University of Manchester, UK and her PhD degree in Rangeland Ecosystem Science in 2011 from Department of Forest, Rangeland and Watershed Stewardship, Colorado State University, USA.

Dr. Batkhishig Baival is country director of Sustainable Fibre Alliance in Mongolia. Board of Trustees, International Institute of Environment and Development, IIED. She has technical and degree qualifications in Rangeland and Community-based natural resource management, organizational development and biotechnology. She is qualified in interdisciplinary, integrated socio-economic and ecological asessments focusing on changes of the herders’ livelihoods, herd, and rangeland management practices.
