Aninda Wisaksanti Rudiastuti

National Research and Innovation Agency

Aninda Wisaksanti Rudiastuti is a Researcher at National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), specialising in remote sensing and GIS applications for coastal ecosystem monitoring. Her research focuses on mangrove mapping, blue carbon estimation, and land use/land cover change detection using multi-sensor remote sensing and machine learning approaches.

With over 20 international publications, her work directly contributes to SDG monitoring, including her role as Principal Investigator for “Regional Resource Mapping Methods in Measuring the Achievement of SDGs Indicator in Indonesia” (2021). Her expertise spans cloud-based satellite image processing, coastal vulnerability assessment, and benthic habitat mapping. Her current research explores traditional marine governance systems (Sasi) in the Kei Islands as potential OECMs and develops early warning systems for mangrove deforestation using multi-sensor remote sensing approaches. She also co-authored “Relocating Indonesia’s Capital City: The Struggle for Power and Resources in Borneo” (Springer, 2025) and has received multiple international research grants and training fellowships from INSINAS, Nippon Foundation-POGO, and NRSC CSSTEAP.
