Dr Alice is an Associate Professor at Chiang Mai University’s Department of Biology, Faculty of Science. She is also a member of Chiang Mai University’s Environmental Science Research Center. Dr Sharp has over 20 years of experience in natural resource management and is a specialist in using the rural participatory approach in natural resource management. Her extensive work in Southeast Asia includes participatory wetland management, non-timber forest product food security, and community forest management in Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Her other research areas of interest include urban environmental management, solid waste management, and climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
