At APN, we fully recognize the need to enhance the capacity of early-career professionals to participate in regional studies. This recognition is evident in the fact that over 80% of our projects engage early-career professionals, either in research activities or through hands-on training.

Collaborative research

In recent years, we have provided a  small grants initiative for early-career professionals, providing them with access to regional-based research funding, a network for knowledge sharing and professional development, and a platform for developing holistic approaches to address issues related to global change and sustainability.

Science communication

Through a funding opportunity for science communicators, we support early-career professionals to promote effective communication of scientific findings to policymakers and the broader audience in a variety of real-world contexts.
