A joint conference comprising the AsiaFlux Workshop 2015 and the meeting of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) TC WG VIII/3: Weather, Atmosphere and Climate Studies, titled “Challenges and Significance of Ecosystem Research in Asia to Better Understand Climate Change” will be held on 22–29 November 2015 at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, India.
The conference, supported by APN through ARCP2014-04NMY-Miyata, LI-COR, National Institute for Agro-Environmental Science (NIAES)–Japan, National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES)–Japan, will cover not only flux research but also broader aspect of climate research. Having chosen India as the venue, it also aims to share new findings on flux monitoring in South Asian region which can lead to future development of potential studies and collaboration with other communities.
There will be various sessions and platforms for discussions which will be driven by the scientific community through an open call for session proposals and abstracts. For those interested to submit a proposal, the proposal should be submitted to [email protected] before 28 February 2015. While the call for abstracts is open until 15 May 2015.
