APN invites everyone to be a part of a transformative experience, contributing to the collective effort to build a resilient and sustainable future!
The Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN), in collaboration with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), will host the “Asia-Pacific Resilience: Empowering Local Solutions Together” session as part of the Fourth Annual Gobeshona Global Conference.
The session focuses on the pivotal role of collective learning in achieving transformative adaptation and the need to build resilient communities. The session aims to provide insights into monitoring community capacity for the effective implementation of adaptation practices. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and explore innovative approaches that underscore the importance of locally-led adaptation strategies.
This year’s Annual Gobeshona Global Conference aims to facilitate collaboration among local and international researchers, scholars, policy-makers and practitioners. The objective is to collectively harness the intentions and creativity of local communities towards developing and implementing solutions for climate change. This seven-day-long conference will run over 24 hours daily, comprising virtual sessions that will include panels and open discussions focusing on adaptation strategies in local communities as well as research groups and practitioners from both developing and developed countries worldwide.
