Dr Madan Sigdel is an Associate Professor at the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr Sigdel holds PhD in Climatology from Hokkaido University Japan with MEXT Scholarship.  He also worked at Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research Chinese Academy of Sciences, China as a PIFI Postdoctoral fellow.  His research focuses on Hydromet disasters, Agrometeorology, Monsoon System, etc. He is also a recipient of National educational awards “Mahendra Bidhya Bhusan” and “Nepal Bidhya Bhusan”. Dr Sigdel has various publications in national and International Journals. As a Climate consultant, he has worked with many national and international organisations.
