APN is deeply concerned by the severe flooding and landslides that affected communities in the Nepal–China border region.
Within the APN community, we have national Focal Points, Scientific Planning Group members, researchers, project participants and partners who live and work across the affected areas, and some may have been directly affected by the disaster. We recognise that their families, friends and colleagues may also have been affected.
On behalf of APN, we express our heartfelt concern and solidarity to all those affected. Our thoughts are with the communities experiencing loss and hardship, as well as those concerned for the safety and well-being of their families, friends and colleagues.
We sincerely hope for the safety and recovery of everyone affected in the region.
