ISAP2026 Parallel Session 3: SDGs International Forum 2026

Introduction
APN, in collaboration with the Hyogo Prefectural Government, will hold the “SDGs International Forum 2026” on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, as Parallel Session 3 of the International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific (ISAP2026), organised by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES).

Event overview:

As the “triple planetary crisis” of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution continues to intensify, the importance of integrated and synergistic approaches to addressing multiple environmental challenges is becoming increasingly evident.

This session focuses on climate change and biodiversity, presenting the latest knowledge and practical case studies from Japan and abroad. It aims to deepen understanding of initiatives that generate synergies, strengthen the connection between global trends and local practices and highlight collaborative approaches that bridge science, policy and communities.

We warmly invite everyone interested in these important issues to join the session, gain new insights and explore pathways towards a more sustainable future.

We look forward to your participation!
