Appropriate waste management in climate change adaptation: Prevention of urban flash flooding in Asia

Reduced drainage capacity in Asian urban waterways due to blockages caused by waste contributes to increased inundation damage. Promoting appropriate waste management by identifying disposal sources and altering disposal behaviour is an effective way of mitigating the extent of flood damage during periods of heavy rainfall. This presentation shares the knowledge obtained in the author’s previous study.
