Dr E. Parameswari is a Professor of Environmental Science at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India. She has sixteen years of experience in teaching, research, and extension in the field of environmental sciences. Her areas of specialisation include bioremediation of polluted habitats, nano remediation of environmental pollutants, mitigation of climate change and its impact on environment and agriculture, and recycling of industrial wastewater for use in agricultural crops, among other aspects related to the prevention of environmental pollution.

In research streams, she has mobilised funds from various national and international funding agencies, with a total budget outlay of 10.5 crore Indian Rupees. Her research primarily focuses on themes related to climate change and environmental protection. She has guided fifteen M.Sc. and one Ph.D. student in thesis work. She has published thirty-eight research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, presented more than forty-five papers at national and international conferences and symposiums, and published thirty-two book chapters, ten books, and thirty-nine popular articles. She has been actively involved in organizing four international conferences, three international workshops, and forty training programs for students and farmers. Her work has been recognised with multiple national and international awards, including Best Centre award from ICAR and Woman Researcher Award. Additionally, received a recognition award for actively participating in the Doubling of Farmers’ Income programme in Tamil Nadu, India.
