Dr Josephine E. Garcia is a University Researcher at the Department of Social Forestry and Forestry Governance, CFNR, UPLB. Her research interests include Environmental Science, Application of GIS and Remote Sensing in Land Use/Land Cover Change and Landscape/Forest Fragmentation Analysis, Climate Change, Coastal Resource (Mangrove) and Watershed Management. Before joining the University in 2016, she worked for over 20 years as a technical staff, planning, and project evaluation officer at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Climate Change Commission (CCC). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, a Master of Science in Natural Resources Conservation – Coastal Resource Management and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from UPLB.
