Yusri Yusup

Dr Yusri Yusup is an associate professor in the Environmental Technology Program of the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia.  Dr Yusup received his BEng (Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering (2002) from USM.  His MSc degree (awarded by USM in 2004) is in Chemical Process Technology in which he developed a graphical user interface application using C++ for a refined air pollution model (USEPA’s ISCST3).  His PhD degree (2008) is in Chemical and Process Engineering awarded by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. In his doctorate thesis, he reported the structure of turbulence in the tropical atmospheric surface layer. He actively conducts short courses on data analyses using the R statistical software and to date, has already completed 15 short courses for clients from the academia, such as Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Universiti Putra Malaysia and the industry, Seagate Technology and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board. As of 2021, he is supervising and co-supervising three PhD students and one M.Sc. student and has successfully graduated one PhD student and two M.Sc. students. Dr Yusup is enthusiastic about creating high-quality learning content for his students in the form of online videos, codes, and websites displaying real-time data.
